Day-by-day itinerary
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel in Colombo. Enjoy a relaxing evening by the Indian Ocean.
- Travel to the Cultural Triangle. Stop en route at the Dambulla Cave Temple before arriving at your lodge near the ancient rock fortress.
- Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock at sunrise. In the afternoon, head to Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari to spot wild elephants.
- Head south to the hill capital, Kandy. Visit a fragrant spice garden in Matale and arrive in time for an evening cultural show near the lake.
- Explore the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in the morning, followed by a leisurely stroll through the lush Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens.
- Drive back toward Colombo. Stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage along the way to observe the herd during feeding time.
